Jon's finest moment came in 2001 when he scored his maiden century against Mears Ashby CC and also went on to win the overall batting averages and the prestigious players-player of the year award. Italian looking Jon, surprises opponents with his lack of pace both with the ball and in the field. He also a shrewd captain, who is often prone to the odd emotional outburst – after a defeat away at Byfield in 2001 Jon went absolutely mental and had to be carted away in a straight jacket.
